I'm glad they're speaking out.
But when I see these denunciations, I often wonder about what they do defend.
Like do they subscribe to the idea of armed conflict to advance religion?
Or striking one's wife?
Or various specious marital arrangements used to justify prostitution?
Or amputation for thieves?
I'm glad they're trying to dissociate themselves from ISIS and its barbarism.
But I just wish Islam would dissociate itself from barbarism in general. I don't know how they could do that, considering it's so prominent in the Koran.
