I was quite excited to watch this video about de-extinction.
When I first heard the word "de-extinction" I had visions of resurrecting dinosaurs.
It's not like that at all.
Presently, there is a project to bring back the Passenger Pigeon by injecting its DNA into the cell of its closest genetic relative, the Band-Tail Pigeon.
That being said, I fear someday somebody will try to create Jurassic Park.
Some species have a very good reason for being extinct and should probably stay that way.
