I saw this blog headline, and I was a bit surprised because I hadn't seen anything about in the English press.
Then I did a Google search and saw this:
Russian President Vladimir Putin nominated for Nobel Peace Prize
So that's a big "Who-the-hell-cares?"
Ever since the Nobel awarded the Peace Prize to Obama, it completely discredited itself, so it's just as well the Pope doesn't win it.
What exactly did he do for peace anyway?
Anybody can call for Syria to lay down their arms.
