I'm not sure what Libby Davies' bill proposes, but what it boils down to is that health is a provincial matter.
I'm concerned that the federal government will impose rigid rules that the provinces are not prepared to accept or enforce.
Considering the urgency of the situation, I'd be prepared to support a government strategy on the matter, while recognizing that it would be better if the private sector would step up, but I don't see the private sector doing that. Probably because our health system is largely public to begin with.
