While real conservatives believe in balanced budgets, the Harper government believes in forecasting them. Where real conservatives have no love for kangaroo courts that would rather let you be ripped off by a Canadian than receive fair market value at fair market prices from a cross-border enterprise, the Tories have done nothing about the CRTC. Worse is their record on commissions that consider ‘never being offended’ to be a bonafide human right.
At minimum a self-described conservative government should be balancing the budget and let the chips fall where they may.
This is why people vote them in.
