He condemned "religious hypocrisy" and called for an end to divisions, saying that "the face of the Church is sometimes marred by sins against the unity of the Church and divisions in the clergy", an apparent reference to the pedophilia or Vatileaks scandals plaguing the institution.
The Pope also called for an end to "individualism and rivalry".

I don't think it has anything to do with Vatileaks or the pedophilia scandal.
I think he was referring to liberals, who pretend to be faithful Catholics, but are actually dissidents.
They are the ones causing the disunity for their lack of adherence to Magisterial teaching.
Pope Benedict has denounced "professional Catholics" before.
They're supposed to serve the faith. But they don't do it authentically and they have their dissenting agendas.
I hope we get a pope who takes up this line and starts kicking some serious butt.
