They want to criminalize the purchase of sexual acts, not solicitation of acts.
While I'm not unsympathetic to this stance, I think that not all prostitutes are purely innocent. There are some who are not drug-addicted victims. I don't feel too sorry for madams who make thousands of dollars per call.
I would like to see the abolition of the phrase "the sex trade". As if servicing men were some kind of trade, like plumbing or carpentry.
