This morning, I learned of great news when I read on the Archbishop's website that Abbé Denis Grondin became an auxillary bishop of Quebec City.
He used to be a priest in my parish when I lived in Quebec City. This was before he went to Charlevoix.
He is the only priest in my youth who ever spoke out against contraception. I remember after he spoke against it, I went up to him to thank him and I think he really appreciated it because I sensed he was nervous about making that kind of stand.
I hope he gets promoted. I think he has guts.
