This is an excerpt of a speech Dr. Jack Wilke gave (accompanied by his wife Barbara) at the Ottawa Pro-Life Conference on October 30th.
I think history is important, so I try to record it as much possible.
What you have to remember is that in 1970, a number of states had legalized abortion-- maybe 13 or 14. But, between 1970 and 1973, the tide was turning for the pro-life side. This is an example of this turning tide.
It was only judicial activism and ignorance that legalized abortion.
