In this article, it says that 800 women a day from botched abortions in Kenya, a country where most abortions are illegal.
That would mean that Kenya has more than twice the abortion rate of Canada (the two countries have a similar population). In Canada, about 300 women a day get abortions.
And given that most women don't die of illegal abortion, the logical inference is that Kenya has a rate that is five or more times that of Canada's.
I call BS.
That many women die of illegal abortion every day and they're ready to undergo that procedure in spite of the risk of death?
Are Kenyan women that dumb?
I don't believe it.
