A few years back, I went on a trip with a my family and we stayed in a hotel room. Every time we turned on the tv, the first channel we got was the "hotel" channel, offering "adult entertainment". What a way to put a damper on my vacation! All I wanted was the Weather Channel, and I'd get the smut-ad channel every time. It wasn't like I could just leave it on the Weather Channel and turn it back on to that channel-- whenever you turned on the tv, you got the hotel channel.
I found it a little embarrassing. Happily, my kids were too young to notice.
