The Truck of Abortion Horrors: it does start debate

Describing the AM 940 discussion/debate, [pro-life activist Stephanie] Gray told LifeSiteNews.com that in 1999 she asked [anti-fetal-rights activist Joyce]Arthur to debate U.S. pro-life speaker Scott Klusendorf, but she refused and subsequently published an article on why the pro-choice don't debate the "anti-choice."

Nevertheless, this summer the success of the abortion trucks have finally forced her to take a stand in a public debate. During the AM 940 broadcast last week, Gray noted that Arthur referred to the truck project, saying that it wasn't a way to establish debate.

Towards the end of the interview, however, Gray responded by referring to the 1999 debate invitation. She indicated that the billboards must have been effective after all, since Arthur has reversed her earlier decision and agreed to debate Gray.

Referring to the recent debate, Gray told LifeSiteNews.com, "It took putting a truck on the road for her to finally debate me. Proving that it's not ineffective, it forced her into the public square."

Pro-lifers, if we push, if we blog, if we mobilize and get out into the street using tactics that have worked elsewhere, we can get our subject on the radar.

They have to respond if we just keeping talking about it. Talk, talk, talk. Don't necessarily engage in emotional debates. Just put out the facts, calmly and rationally. Then they have to respond. I know they hang themselves with their own rope. That's why they don't show the truth. That's why they don't talk about the act of abortion, and why they continually talk in euphemisms and never address fetal rights.

Good job, Stephanie!

UPDATE: Joyce Arthur: Why not to debate anti-choice spokespersons from 1999.

I suppose maybe Joyce Arthur might say it was not exactly a debate, but she was responding to the points made by Stephanie Gray.
