The veterinarian quoted him a price for the procedure, but suggested that it would cost more should the cat already be pregnant, as they would have to perform an abortion
I'm picturing animal rights protesters on the street handing out pamphlets with images of aborted kittens.
Heck, they might become sidewalk counsellors in front of animal hospitals: please sir, don't get that feline abortion. Did you know abortion kills kittens?.
Annoyed male pet-owner: Stop infringing on my right to my cat's abortion!
