The pro-abortion political action committee known as Emily's List has seen a steep decline in financial support, LifeNews reported.
The mission of Emily's List is to raise money to support pro-abortion candidates. In the first four months of 2005, a nonelection year, the group raised $510,000. In the same time period in 2006, a year that saw hotly contested races across the board, the group raised only $285,000.
Political analysts say the drop in donations could signal awareness that the group's involvement in a campaign does not guarantee success. Just two of the 19 House races backed by Emily's List saw victory in 2006.
