UK: Abortion laws to be reviewed

Abortion laws will be subjected to the first parliamentary review for 17 years as a result of draft legislation on human embryology to be published today.

The Bill, which is to be debated by MPs later this year, will open the way for backbench amendments seeking to reduce the current 24-week limit for terminations - as well as those making it easier for women to have abortions.

Draft legislation on human embryology? What's that all about?

It's not looking good for the review, I would think. There have been attempts recently to lower the gestation limit, but without success.
