Folks, I'm just bummed out about this case I've been following on a Quebec Catholic message board I read.
The pregnant woman in question is aged 19. She's dating a guy aged 24, who's a lawyer. The lawyer wants nothing to do with the baby. She is very "family-minded"-- but since she's not married, and the dad doesn't want the baby, she doesn't want him either.
The prengnant woman's mom-- who is relaying this information-- says that money is not an issue. The parents own an apartment building, and they have some means. It's purely an issue of "timing" and the boyfriend not being interested.
The pregnant woman's sister is not talking to her because of this.
The abortion is scheduled on May 2nd at 10h30.
The pregnant woman's mom is going post-abortive-- she thinks she hears a baby crying in the night.
As it was, the abortion was supposed to have been on April 24th. I've been praying. Let's hope more prayers will help.
I've tried locating a crisis pregnancy center in their area, to no avail.
