Maltese lobby for constitutional rights for unborn

Lifesite is reporting that Maltese pro-lifers are looking to obtain constitutional rights for unborn children.

That's the way to do it!

The thing about the abortion issue is that even if you criminalize abortion, some government can come and pass a law legalizing it again.

Let this be a lesson to pro-lifers in the Western hemisphere. Criminalizing abortion is not enough. There's always a danger around the corner that it will be legalized again.

In Canada, the ultimate goal should be Charter Rights for unborn children. Even if we ever managed to get abortions criminalized, you just know that the pro-life government would fall, and abortions would be legal again.

We have to change the culture to have people understand unborn children are equals; that the double standard between "wanted" babies-- who are loved and cherished-- and those who are "unwanted"-- and are killed-- must be acknowledged and stopped. It's nothing short of discriminatory.
