Special to Big Blue Wave-- Family Coalition Party leader Giuseppe Gori criticized the Liberal Government's handling of the hearings on the reform of the Ontario Human Rights Commission. Many have suggested that Dalton McGuinty's Liberals are bypassing the process in order to impose their own agenda. In response to this, Mr Gori said: "The Liberals are the champions of consultation when they are in opposition." According to the leader, the best chance to have one's say is to vote in next year's provincial election, to be held on October 4th, 2007. "Next year we will have a chance to bypass this government and let them do what they do best."
That being said, the Family Coalition Party leader is not supportive of the process. He believes that the Ontario Human Rights Commission is redundant. "There is a federal Human Rights Commission, and itis sufficient, because human rights in Canada should be equal for all."
