Sometimes, it astounds me what the left will believe of right wingers. I'm astounded, and yet I'm not. Because right-wingers, especially so-cons, have done a horrible job of getting their message through to the masses, but that is slowly changing, thank goodness.
So I'm reading about reaction to the cuts to SOW, its prohibition of funding lobby groups, and its revised mandate.
Here's what one poster by the name of lonewolf on the socialist En Masse had to say:
It seems to me that the Alberta, good old boys and cowboys want a woman to be kept in her proper place, and that ain't equal to men!
Yeah, like Bev Oda (from Ontario), a former CTV executive, Helen Guergis (from Ontario) a small business owner and all the women in the CPC caucus are conspiring to turn everyone into June Cleaver clones.
Now if women could just vote in a block, we'd see the Tories disappear into the political wilderness for a while.
Women are individualas. They have individual concerns and points of view. We are not all socialist.
When you think of Tory governments, there have been very few women of prominence in the important cabinet positions
What matters in the end is that people are chosen for their experience and talents, not their gender. Otherwise that would be demeaning.
