I have obtained a “Dispatch”, an NDP bulletin that touched upon the recent budgetcuts. It seems to have been written by NDP MP Judy Wasylycia-Leis. It calls the REAL Women presentation to the Finance Committee a REAL Women/Tory Love-in.
Can you just imagine if say, Peter MacKay had said that of Belinda Stronach and the Liberals?
Do you think that this would have been acceptable to the feminists in the NDP?
But because the target of the slur is REAL Women, that’s okay to characterize the political behaviour of these women in in a sexually demeaning way. So implying that Belinda Stronach is a “dog” is a sign of raging misogyny, but insinuating that a bunch of so-con women are, what…whores? That’s not misogyny?
When asked if this is acceptable earlier this month, MP Tony Martin says “Yeah, it is”. See the tape. I recommend you turn down the volume on the You Tube to get the best sound. Why? Simply because REAL Women disagree with the NDPers.
Someone should call the NDP on that.
