Pope Benedict XVI to give 1-hour tv interview

I *sooooo* wish I could I could understand German and watch it over the video. Pope Benedict will be sitting down at Castel Gondolfo with a panel of questioners. Pretty impressive. The questions will not be vetted. One interviewer will be from the German section of Vatican Radio, the other from three other German public television stations.

I just hope they can ask him some hard questions. Judging by the tone of the article reporting this, it sounds like it's going to be fluff, and I hate fluff. I want to know why Catholic politicians are never denied communion or excommunicated for going against the Faith, and why bishops who don't enforce Catholic orthodoxy aren't disciplined.

Wouldn't it be neat if he gave an interview in English? I wonder how his English is.
