Brazillians are overwhelmingly pro-life

Brazil is a country where abortion is illegal except for cases of rape or when the mother's life is endangered. 63% of Brazillians are satisfied with the current law. 17% want abortion access to be less restricted, and only 11% want it decriminalized altogether.

I found the poll slightly biased, as there was no option for more restrictions.

I wonder all these women who're not undergoing abortions: are they so unhappy? They must know plenty of women who have crisis pregnancies. There is lots of poverty in Brazil. Yet somehow they seem to reject abortion.

And this is a huge poll of 6969 Brazillians-- a margin of error of 2 per cent.

A ban on abortion would not be the end of the world. A relatively poor country like Brazil seems to learn to live with it.
