First it was fetus-killing, now it's fetus stealing

More and more I'm seeing reports about women who try to abduct the fetuses of other women. I'm not saying it's an epidemic, but it appears some people are becoming more desperate to have a child and willing to go to great lengths to get one. This story is about an alleged fetus kidnapper who was denied the right to marry because it is fear her intended spouse would be immune from testifying against her.

Conner was charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, aggravated assault on an unborn infant and related offenses.

In Canada, there are no laws against the fetus. I suspect that an attempted fetal abduction would be treated as a mere assault.
