For ages, many more "moderate" poor-choicers have been saying that pro-lifers should try to find common ground in order to prevent abortion.
That's a very nice intention. But it's not going to work very well.
For one thing, pro-aborts and poor-choicers generally come from very different moral spheres. So they will be at odds on the solutions they propose.
And another thing is that the common ground is intended to be about reducing abortion, not about the legality of abortion.
How about some common ground on fetal rights? When do we start talking about what we have in common on the rights of unborn children?
That'd be an interesting discussion. Are there any takers on that issue?
