I know that being a social conservative in Canada can sometimes be discouraging. But the story of Jesus and the Church gives us hope.
Consider the fact that after Jesus was crucified, the Christian movement looked dead. There was a sense of utter defeat and demoralization.
But the Resurrection shows that God will not be defeated. He rose from the dead. The movement rose from what appeared to be nothing. There hundreds and hundreds of millions of Christians in the world today. It was nothing in the beginning, but now there are millions!
So that is our destiny. So long as we continue to believe and to pin our hope our God, success is GUARANTEED. It may ten years, a hundred or a thousand. The timing's is God's decision. But if we push forward, we'll certainly hurry it along.
