Planned Parenthood: Make an appointment for a chance to win an iPod

I was alerted of this article at this Blog:

LifeNews reports that PP is trying to lure teens to its centres by offering a chance to win an iPod and free movie tickets:

I cannot imagine any health provider (which PP alleges to be) doing this in Canada. Isn't this kind of scummy? This is how you market Pepsi, not condoms and sex ed.

Why in the world are they marketing it this way? Are they in competition? Do they not think there isn't enough of a demand for their services?

Doesn't this make health services seem more consumerist? Aren't they against that?

It leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
